From an Activity Director1/22/2003 John GerhardAll of us at Furry Friends for Life feel the great reward of watching our dogs bring joy to the lives of the seniors they visit. It is nice to hear reinforcement from a staff member about the work we are doing. The following is a statement from the activity director of Tendercare West in Lansing, MI.
"HI WE REALLY ENJOYED HAVING YOUR DOGS VISIT OUR FACILITY AND ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO A LONG RELATIONSHIP WITH BOTH OF THEM. THANKYOU AGAIN FOR CHOOSING OUR FACILITY AND WE WELCOME ANY OTHER FURRY FRIENDS IN THE AREA TO JOIN US, TOO!!!! IT WAS ALSO AN HONOR MEETING YOU......YOU SHOULD BE VERY PROUD OF THE "WORK" THAT YOU ARE DOING."

| | | Words of support7/30/2003 Kim KuhlThe following message was left on the website: I don't know if this will be posted where anyone can read it, but just in case, let me brag about John and Nancy, Chip and Blue. I've known John and Nancy for about 8 years now, and obviously they are amazing people. I "helped" bring Chip into their lives by telling Nancy she could "just come look" at the puppy, she didn't have to take it. They went home together :) Chip is my dog, Rose, best friend and they love playing together. I've learned more than I can ever measure about love, kindness and compassion from them. Keep up the amazing work -- hopeful;y I'll be able to help sometime soon. Love, Kim, Art, Rose and Violet From: arthurkuhl@aol.cOM

| | | Christmas Day12/28/2002 John GerhardOn Christmas Day, Chocolate Chip and I visited an area nursing home. One of the residents said something that really struck me and reinforced the value of our visits. She said "This is Christmas Day and it is a lonely day for me." This woman had no visitors on this occasion other than Chocolate Chip. We stayed with her quite a while and as we were leaving she said Chip brought her the best gift of all...his love.
